Unforgettable vacation of the Starlight group on the Moraca River

On June 21-22, our friendly and cheerful company — the Starlight group — spent an amazing weekend on the banks of one of the most picturesque rivers in Montenegro — the Moraca River.

This amazing place is located in the Skadar Lake region — one of the richest natural corners of the Balkans. The Moraca River, flowing through the mountains, flows into Skadar Lake, forming along the way many picturesque canyons and bays with clear, cool water.

The banks of the river amaze with their greenery and biological diversity. Rare species of orchids, cherry laurel, wild olive, juniper, fig grow here, and in spring and early summer the slopes are covered with a carpet of wild flowers. The forests in the vicinity are rich in oaks, plane trees and pines.

The fauna of the region is no less impressive: Lake Skadar and the surrounding areas are home to more than 280 species of birds. We watched majestic herons and cormorants, heard the singing of nightingales and trills of larks. The river is home to trout and barbel, and in the thickets you can meet lizards, turtles and even wild boars, if you’re lucky. Eagles and hawks often circle above the water – a truly mesmerizing sight.

The most important thing is the atmosphere we created together. We grilled aromatic barbecue on coals, shared stories around the campfire and, of course, sang karaoke – from retro hits to the most modern songs. Laughter, songs and the smell of freshly cooked meat became an integral part of this weekend.

This vacation was not just a trip to nature for us – it strengthened our friendship, charged us with energy and inspiration. Thanks to the Moraca River and the Skadar Lake region for the warmth, and to all the participants for unforgettable moments!

We have gained tremendous experience in organizing such off-site events. And we hope to repeat them more often!
