That’s exactly how we decided to spend one of our days in June — by setting off on a catamaran cruise with a lively group of friends.
Catamaran Cruise: A Journey Full of Discoveries
If you dream not of just lounging on a beach, but of a real sea adventure — the catamaran is where you belong. That’s how our company set sail from the cozy seaside village of Čanj, heading toward the scenic Montenegrin coastline in the direction of the famous Budva.
Starting Point: Čanj — Waves, Wind, and the Joy of Freedom
We didn’t start too early — the sun was already high in the sky, and we had time to enjoy a cup of kafa and a shot of rakija. Then, finally, the catamaran gently glided across the water. On board — a great crew, lively conversation, cool drinks, and a sense of anticipation. The Starlight group was in high spirits, ready for a route full of discovery and stunning natural scenery.
Kraljičina Beach — Royal Beauty
Our route took us past Kraljičina Beach — one of the most picturesque spots along the coast. We didn’t stop here, but even sailing by, we couldn’t help but admire the white sand, turquoise water, and peaceful vibe. This place definitely deserves its own visit.
And by the way, there’s a well-maintained trail leading to the beach from the village of Čanj.
Vasilina Cave — A Hidden Cave and a Near Shipwreck
Our first stop was Vasilina Cave, hidden from view when standing on shore. We approached it carefully, but the waves began to play a little too freely with the catamaran. A near-disaster unfolded — sharp rocks at the cave entrance and a sudden gust of wind almost caused a shipwreck. But thanks to our captain and crew’s quick reaction, we avoided danger and were left not just unharmed, but thrilled with adrenaline. After viewing the cave from a safe distance, we continued on — many wonders still lay ahead.
Plaža tri kralja — A Perfect Spot for Snorkeling
We lingered longer at Plaža tri kralja. The water here is so crystal-clear, you can see every stone on the seabed. We put on masks, grabbed fins, and dove into the incredible underwater world. Colorful fish, sea urchins, and various mollusks — all nearby and mesmerizingly beautiful. Some dove from the boat, others swam near the shore, and many captured bright memories in photos. This was the moment everyone thought, “This is real relaxation.”
Vezirova Beach — The Final Stop and the Journey Back
A bit farther along the coast, we reached Vezirova Beach — a secluded gem where the sea itself seems to whisper: “Stay.” We made a short stop here to take in the view, breathe in the calm, and reflect, as the sun was already starting to dip toward the horizon.
By evening, we were back in Čanj — tired, but glowing with joy.
