This ancient fruit tree, with its rich history and unique medicinal properties, thrives on sunny slopes in southern Montenegro<\/strong>, particularly in coastal areas.<\/p>\n

Unabi is considered a symbol of longevity and health<\/strong> thanks to its nutritional and medicinal benefits<\/strong>. Its fruits are widely used in cuisine, traditional medicine<\/strong>, and even beekeeping<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

What Is Unabi?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Unabi<\/strong> is a thorny deciduous shrub or small tree<\/strong> that grows up to 5 to 10 meters tall<\/strong>. Its fruits are small drupes<\/strong> with a smooth skin and sweet, juicy pulp. This plant has been valued for centuries for its medicinal properties<\/strong> and nutritional value<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The fruits change color from pale yellow<\/strong> to reddish-brown<\/strong> as they ripen. Unabi blooms and bears fruit<\/strong> from June to October<\/strong>, and during the flowering period, it emits a delicate honey aroma<\/strong> that attracts bees.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

With 1 hectare of unabi plantations<\/strong>, beekeepers can harvest up to 230 kg of honey<\/strong>. This honey is prized for its high sugar content<\/strong> and pleasant aroma<\/strong>, making it highly sought after in beekeeping.<\/p>\n
