Crmnica, Pejanovic Winery, and the Phantom Cave

🍇 On November 9, 2024, we embarked on an exciting journey to Crmnica, a picturesque area near Virpazar in Montenegro, known for its wineries and unexplored natural beauty. 🌿

Crmnica is a place where time seems to slow down, and the air is filled with the scent of vineyards and wild nature. This region, famous for its historic wineries, also attracts travelers with its mysterious nature and cultural heritage.

This time, besides wine tasting, our goal was to find a mysterious cave known to the locals. We discovered the cave, but couldn’t manage to reach it. However, this did not diminish our excitement about the trip!

We visited the Pejanovic winery, where the hospitable owner greeted us. He offered us a tasting of the best wines of the harvest, each reflecting the unique character of this beautiful region. From fresh and aromatic white wines to deep and rich reds—each sip was a celebration of taste. Liqueurs made from coffee, walnut, and a variety of rakijas, even from kiwi, left no one indifferent.

Concluding our visit with a traditional lunch at a local tavern in Virpazar, we tried dishes of Montenegrin cuisine, perfectly complementing the exquisite wines.

This day reinforced our desire to return and continue exploring this enchanting region. If you find yourself in Montenegro, be sure to explore Crmnica and do not miss the Pejanovic winery— a world of taste and adventure awaits you!
